人の言葉を真似する白イルカ！｜ベルーガの鳴き声

鴨川シーワールド　しゃべるベルーガ

シロイルカ（ベルーガ）が人の言葉をまねることができることを、村山司東海大教授らと鴨川シーワールドの研究グループが論文で報告しました。下のオーディオの再生ボタンを押すと、人間が話した言葉とイルカがそれを真似た音声が聴けます。

わかりづらいものもありますが、実験で用いられた言葉は以下の通り。

「ハハハハハ！」
「ほう？」
「あわわわ」
「デューク」
「おはよう」
「つかさ」
「ピヨピヨ」
「ホケキョ」
「おお！」

人の言葉を覚えるシロイルカ（ベルーガ）の能力を示す例は過去にもあります。サンディエゴの水族館で、人の声のように聞こえる不思議な鳴き方を自然に覚えた白イルカの例が報告されています。
